Fishing by kayak
A whole new exercise in multi-tasking for me today – fishing by kayak. Didn’t catch anything which was probably for the best as the wind started to gust quite sharply on the lake. Anticipating some achy shoulders tomorrow!
Wrap around
Lola knocked me out and tied me to this post. Fortunately I chewed my way free before the tide came in 🙂 Bad Lola.
Sticks and stones
Another shot from last week’s trip to Cape Cod.
Scene from Jaws?
Remember the scene in Jaws where they find the first girl’s body and the policeman throws up? This scene I found in Cape Cod reminded me of that for some reason.

On the fence
I cannot describe how bitterly cold it was down by the beach. I could barely work the camera but I was quite pleased with this one. I’ll process some more tomorrow and share.
Jetty at the park
It’s almost time for fishing and kayaking season. We’re due four inches of snow tomorrow but by the time we get back from New York this week hopefully it will all have disappeared.
Reprocessing old Ireland photos
I think I may have to stop taking photos and start processing some of the many thousands I have stored. Might take a while…
Afternoon drive
Went out North for a quick spin down some back roads. Naturally the afternoon ended with a bowl of chilli and apple pie.
Colder than it looks
Despite all the greenery and occasional blue skies, the weather is definitely feeling brisker almost every day. Snow flurries keep threatening to develop and the ice is creeping on the various ponds around the countryside. Stupidly I went walking without a hat and regretted that fairly quickly. That said, January is supposed to be relatively mild meaning we wont get snow until February.
